Lightworks - Malaysia Holisitc New Age Shop, Yoga, & New Energy Healing: MELODIES OF GAIA MELODIES OF GAIA ================================================================================ Darreck on 03 March, 2008 10:52:00 Mee Yuen’s Story It all began with a book KB Wong (co-founder of Lightworks) lent me in April 2006 – the title of the “gem” was “Creating Money – The Keys to Abundance” by Sanaya Roman and Duane Parker. I felt as if the book was written for me, and it truly inspired to look at ways to enhance my creativity in the hope I would learn to honour myself more as well as to experience aliveness and joy beyond raising my three lovely young children. As soon as I voiced my intent about exploring my creativity and pondering on how I would love to work the mineral kingdom again, I received an email from a friend about a new shop cum beading academy in town. So, what started as just another “fun thing to learn” became an ever consuming hobby. Soon, my hubby began to notice that I was spending hours working on my jewelry pieces; sometimes late into the night and other times, waking up in the wee hours working on a certain piece that has to be “fixed up”. I surprise myself too! I always feel invigorated and peaceful while working on a piece; it feels like having a communion with like-minded friends. By working with my crystals, I am also experiencing a deeper sense of aliveness and joy. But more importantly, this hobby has brought me closer to my High Self. I had learnt Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT) in 2004, a way of channeling and accessing my High Self to clear soul programmes. I have since learnt to use SRT to pick the right stones to buy, to clear them of all discordant energies and negativity, to recharge them with positive expressions as well as to enhance each of the stone’s personal healing/metaphysical properties and to get the right combination of stones for a certain design. I am pretty amazed at the results thus far; I was never considered as a talented artist at school nor the very creative type. If you had met me before I started my hobby, you would have noticed that the only piece of jewelry I wore was my wedding band! I am fortunate and truly blessed to have been given the opportunity to showcase my work at Lightworks. KB has been very encouraging from the moment I shared with him about my beading classes and how I was learning really important lessons about honouring myself. Without my hubby’s constant pushes and support to bring my work outside the home, they will probably still be there! Another valuable lesson I am learning from this journey is saying farewell to my crystal friends. But I trust they will find their way home into your hearts.
